Dr Wendy Palace

Bio Dr Wendy Palace is engaged in full-time research and is presently based at the East Asian Studies Department at Durham University. She has a long-standing interest in Tibet and has taught and travelled widely. Her areas of research are the British Foreign Service in Asia, diplomatic history and international affairs, with a particular interest in the cultural aspects of imperialism. She is currently conducting research into British involvement in Burma and is revising a book on the British Foreign Service and the Thirteenth Dalai Lama.
