| Bio | Hugh Davies was a member of the Sinological corps of the FCO for more than 30 years. His ï¬nal assignment was as Ambassador on the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group in Hong Kong negotiating all the detailed arrangements for the transfer of sovereignty. He is Chairman of the China Association, Vice-Chairman of the Great Britain China Centre and a Board member of the China Britain Business council. |
