Sir Tony Brenton

Bio

Sir Tony Brenton was British Ambassador to Russia from 2004 to 2008, having previously served for 30 years in HM Diplomatic Service. His book The Greening of Machiavelli, the Evolution of International Environmental Politics was published by Chatham House in 1994.

Currently, he is a Fellow of Wolfson College Cambridge, an occasional commentator in the press on Russian and other international issues, and is working on a book on Peter the Great’s Russia.
