Bio Gawdat Bahgat is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of a number of books on the Gulf, most recently American Oil Diplomacy in the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea (2003) and Israel and the Persian Gulf (2005). He has also published numerous articles on the Middle East and the Caspian.
