Palace of Ishakpasa in Dogubayazit, Turkey
The RSAA’s glass slides of Kurdistan date back to the 1920s. The region, which covers parts of northern Iraq, south eastern Turkey and north western Iran, does not currently have political recognition, but retains importance in ethnic and cultural descriptions, as well in historical contexts.
