
Prior to independence in 1948, a number of RSAA members were employed by the Indian Civil Service (ICS). Images taken by diplomats, bureaucrats and photographers such as Sir Stuart Mitford Fraser, are included in the society’s archive and show regional rulers, politicians and religious figures as well as royal processions and religious ceremonies.
