Baltit Fort, Hunza
Sir Francis Edward Younghusband, many of whose papers and photographs are contained within the society’s archives, was a military man, spy and diplomat. Whilst staying in Hunza, Pakistan he dined with Captain Bronislav Gromchevsky, his Russian counterpart in the Great Game.
