
The RSAA’s members retain their strong tradition of overland travel and exploration. Here we see vehicles of the Tracing Tea expedition making the first ever crossing of the Khunjerab Pass, the world’s highest international border crossing that links Pakistan and China, by auto-rickshaw. Sophie Ibbotson and Max Lovell-Hoare described the highs and lows of the expedition in their lecture to the society entitled ‘Tracing a Tea Route by Tuk-Tuk’ in spring 2009.
