Ishizumi & Co is a Japanese art fan-making company. Established in Kyoto in 1881, they produced a giant fan in 1892 with a radius of 213 cm which, in 2001, was presented by the family to the British Museum. This exhibition intends to reintroduce the art of fan-making to a new and wider audience and explore the fan as contemporary art form. It is on until 24 March 2011 at the Brunei Gallery, SOAS.
