Further Exhibitions at and with the British Museum & Abroad

The Printed Image in China from the 8th to the 21st Centuries. 6 May - 5 September 2010. Admission free, Rooms 90-91. Last chance to catch this exhibition.

In Manchester Museum, from 25 September 2010 to 26 June 2011, China: Journey to the East will be showing. This is the largest UK loan of Chinese material the British Museum has undertaken, with more than 150 objects. It offers the chance to better understand 3,000 years of Chinese history and culture.

Birmingham Museum is showing Aspects of China until 30 September, featuring 70 pieces of modern textiles & objects made by China’s ethnic minority groups. Also showing is a Steve McCurry Retrospective (ends 17 October). His famous image is ‘Afghan Girl at Nasir Bagh refugee camp’, Peshawar, 1984.

Abroad: Roads to Arabia - Archaeological Treasures from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Musée de Louvre, Paris: ends 27 September.

Muraqqa’: Imperial Mughal Albums from the Chester Beatty Library at the CBL in Dublin: ends 3 October.

Latter half of 2011: Treasures of the World: Jewellery of India Under the Grand Moguls at the Islamic Arts Museum, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
